Bandai Namco has announced an October release date for Dragon Ball: The Breakers, the upcoming multiplayer survival action game where a group of regular people must escape from one of the villains from Dragon Ball. Dragon Ball: The Breakers resembles Dead by Daylight in terms of gameplay, with a team of Survivors taking on a Raider. Said survivors must rely on stealth, speed, and distractions to survive, while the Raider slowly closes in on them, as they become more powerful over the course of the game.
Dragon Ball: The Breakers is set in the world of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, with regular people trapped in a Temporal Seam outside of the boundaries of the timeline. These people have the misfortune of being stuck with one of the Dragon Ball villains breathing down their neck. Fortunately, the Survivors have access to weapons, grappling hooks, vehicles, and special abilities to help them escape. The goal of the Survivors is to make their way to the Super Time Machine, while the Raider's goal is to obliterate all of the Survivors. The three Raider characters confirmed for Dragon Ball: The Breakers are Cell, Buu, and Frieza, while the Survivors are customizable characters.
