While traveling through a corrupted timeline, Deadpool and Cable encountered a medieval England with a group of murderous bunnies, a hilarious multiversal crossover with the killer rabbit from the beloved film Monty Python and the Holy Grail. The Monty Python comedic group are known for their self-referential comedy and fourth wall-breaking, making them the perfect media for the ultimate fourth wall-breaker Deadpool to crossover with in the pages of 2018's Cable & Deadpool Annual #1.
Monty Python and the Holy Grail debuted in 1975, created by and starring the British comedy troupe Monty Python. It loosely follows an Arthurian-based plot with King Arthur and his Knights of the Roundtable searching for the mythical Holy Grail. One of the highlights of the film comes when Arthur and his knights traveled to a cave where the location of the magical Grail is apparently written, only to be attacked by the Rabbit of Caerbannog, a seemingly simple and plain white rabbit that quickly slaughters several of Arthur's men.

While a team-up between theever-serious Cable and the infinitely goofy Deadpool may seem like the last pairing you would expect to see, they actually have a long history of partnering up to solve time capers, starting with the 2005 Cable & Deadpool series.
