Inthe episode,humanity's first mission to Mars edges closer as crews are assembled and loyalties are tested in the competition between NASA, Helios, and the Soviet Union. NASA's flight commander, Danielle Poole (Krys Marshall) must decide how to handle her crewmate Danny Stevens' (Casey W. Johnson) troubling behavior, while Ed Baldwin (Joel Kinnaman) works out the logistics of Helios' attempt to land on the Red Planet.
For All Mankind debuted on Apple TV+ in 2019 as one of the streaming service's first original series. An alternate history beginning in 1969, For All Mankind's narrative takes flight when the Soviet Union beats the United States to the Moon Landing, which sparks a decades-long competition to explore and colonize the solar system. Season 3 picks up in 1992 as private enterprise vies with the traditional space-race players to land a human crew on Mars.

The exclusive clip, provided by Apple TV+, depicts a heated conversation between Danny and Danielle at night in the front seat of Danielle's car. Danielle admonishes Danny for getting himself in trouble with the law and Danny apologizes, promising it won't happen again. After having chosen Danny as one of her crew members in the previous episode, Danielle tells Danny to remove himself from flight status in order to work through his personal issues with his wife.
