Electronic Arts has confirmed that Battlefield 2042 will be made available to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and EA Play members on November 22.
DICE’s shooter is joining the Xbox and EA subscription services next week to coincide with the launch of Season 3, which is titled Escalation.
The game’s third season of live content includes a new map called Spearhead, which is set in the untamed Swedish wilderness and two semi-automated manufacturing facilities of high-tech weaponry.
EA has also confirmed that players on all platforms will able be to try out Battlefield 2042 for free on the following dates next month:
EA launched the Battlefield Mobile open beta for Android devices in Southeast Asia last week. Pre-registration for the game is also now available in some other regions ahead of the beta’s wider rollout.
Battlefield Mobile is being developed by Industrial Toys, the studio headed by Bungie founder and former CEO Alex Seropian, which EA acquired in 2018.
The open beta includes traditional Battlefield modes like Conquest and Rush, and versions of existing maps such as Battlefield 3’s Noshahr Canals and Grand Bazaar.
Microsoft recently confirmed that November’s second wave of Game Pass titles includes Dune: Spice Wars, Ghostlore, Lapin and Norco, Gungrave G.O.R.E., Sandstorm, Soccer Story and Warhammer 40,000: Darktide.
