The Dark Knight's greatest enemies are about to star in a series of one-shots for DC's Batman: One Bad Day. To hype up the villains' definitive stories, DC has released a trailer that hints at the trials and tribulations Batman's adversaries are about to face.
DC revealed the Batman: One Bad Day series back in May with a slew of cryptic tweets and teasers. The name, of course, hearkens back to Joker's memorable line in Alan Moore and Brian Bolland's The Killing Joke, where the villain posited that all it takes is "one bad day" to change someone forever. Just as The Killing Joke served as an epic, iconic story for the villain, the one-shots of Batman: One Bad Day will put the Caped Crusader's other antagonists in starring roles. Two-Face, Riddler, Catwoman and more are all getting stories that will show what they're really made of.

As anticipation continues building before the debut of the first One Bad Day release, DC has revealed a trailer on YouTube and other social media platforms. To give readers a sense of what to expect from the upcoming books, the trailer takes a dark tone right from the start by showing the iconic Gotham location Arkham Asylum on fire. Viewers are told they're about to see "The Dark Knight's worst enemies in their greatest stories yet!" From there, a dramatic chorus kicks in as each villain featured in the Batman: One Bad Day books is shown off, along with the creative team that will be crafting the new, definitive tales. As the music crescendos, the covers of each book are shown, along with the information that each book is a 64-page prestige format and that the books will be available starting in August 2022.
