On November 13, 2022, the Assassin's Creed franchise will officially be 15 years old. In all that time there have been a plethora of mainline games, side games, comics, and even a few media adaptations. To turn 15 years old is no big deal, but it seems Ubisoft wanted to kick off that celebration early with its Assassin's Creed 15th Anniversary Celebration today. In it, Ubisoft took a look at the franchise's storied history, a look into the future of Assassin's Creed Valhalla, new comics and so on, and far more.
In terms of Assassin's Creed Valhalla, it announced that the Forgotten Saga game mode would release sometime this summer for free. This new game mode sees Odin go to Niflheim, where he engages in roguelike gameplay against the realm of the dead. What's perhaps the most interesting is his reference to the Daughter of Loki, Hel. As many know, Loki is very important in Assassin's Creed, so it's possible that this game mode somehow expands on the story.

Furthermore, Ubisoft has confirmed that this year will feature the last bit of new content added to Assassin's Creed Valhalla. After the Forgotten Saga game mode this summer, there will be a «final chapter» released sometime near the end of this year. It doesn't seem to be a full-blown DLC, as it is confirmed to be free, but there are several mysteries in Assassin's Creed Valhalla a final chapter could hopefully wrap up.
Assassin's Creed Valhalla is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
