The new Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarok expansion is apparently causing the game to freeze or crash for some players. The latest entry in the long-running franchise has been pretty successful for developer and publisher Ubisoft, as Valhalla has become the highest-earning Assassin’s Creed game to date, in spite of technical issues when it first launched back in November 2020. Since then, the studio has worked on not only fixing the game’s problems but also releasing a whole lot of new content for it.
Despite the financial success of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, with its enormous world and epic stories, Ubisoft will apparently be taking a drastically different direction for the next entry in the series. With the rumored Assassin’s Creed Infinity live-service game not looking to be released anytime soon, the studio is reportedly working on a spin-off game instead, which stars Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s Basim. The upcoming title is said to have originally started as an expansion for Valhalla but Ubisoft decided to turn it into a standalone game instead. The new Assassin’s Creed is said to be smaller than its predecessors, with a focus on stealth, bringing the game back to its roots.
