A fascinating new Archive 81 fan theory suggests Melody becomes Kaelego's vessel at the end of season 1. First released on January 14th, 2022, James Wan's Archive 81 was a runaway success for Netflix in its first month of streaming, with the series being watched for 128.47 million hours globally, according to Netflix's own Top 10 site. Archive 81 has also drawn a highly positive critical reception, with its intriguing blend of horror and supernatural noir compelling audiences to discover Melody Pendras' (Dina Shihabi) fate inside the Visser apartment complex.
Archive 81 centers on Dan Turner (Mamadou Athie), a conservator haunted by his past who is offered a large sum to restore a series of Hi8 tapes on behalf of the L.M.G. company. As Dan's work progresses, he finds himself haunted by the visage of the pan-dimensional god-slash-demon Kaelego, who threatens to break free from the tapes holding his essence while simultaneously establishing an affinity to Melody's ethereal presence as she tells the Visser's story.
