Werewolf By Night is the MCU’s first special presentation, and it has gotten the short film format off to a great start. With its unique black and white visual style, a solid cast of characters, and action that is more brutal than anything seen in Disney’s Marvel universe thus far, Michael Giacchino’s project is a massive success. However, its premise could also make for a stellar multiplayer Marvel game.
Werewolf By Night sees several monster hunters competing in a ritual hunt, with the winner acquiring the Bloodstone — a powerful artifact that can deal great damage to even the strongest monsters. Though the goal is to find and kill the monster first, what ensues is essentially a battle royale competition, as hunters are free to kill each other to improve their chances of being victorious. Though the concept makes for an action-packed live action project, it truly is perfect for a video game.

Werewolf By Night spends a bit of time detailing each hunter’s history of kills, with the film also showcasing their unique fighting styles in several scenes. This could lead to an important aspect of every match, with players choosing their monster hunter before they hop into an arena. Marvel fans could choose from a tanky character with a large weapon, a marksman with a bow, or a speedy fighter with a blade, with each choice leading to different gameplay style and coming with unique upgrades.
