In more recent years, Hollywood has been attempting to find many ways to make itself more progressive. This comes not only in regard to the stories it allows to be told on the big and small screens, but in who audiences see acting in the roles as well. For example, when it comes to the roles of characters that are of a certain racial background, status, and the LGBTQ+ community, fans have been calling for the members of these groups to represent these characters. This allows for the stories to be rawer and gives these actors a chance to represent their own communities on screen.
