Jones reprised the role of Mufasa for the 2019 remake of the classic 1994 animated feature. The remake was directed by Jon Favreau and starred Donald Glover, Beyoncé, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Billy Eichner, and Seth Rogen alongside Jones.
