What No Way Home's Extended Cut Really Needs For It To Be Worth Watching
The extended edition of Spider-Man: No Way Home will release in the third quarter of 2022, and while new footage and extended scenes are expected, the film will need to meaningfully expand on its characters and narrative to be worth watching. No Way Home is the biggest crowd-pleaser of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase 4 thus far, uniting three generations of Spider-Man film franchises via their supervillains and respective iterations of Spider-Man himself. As with all MCU films, No Way Home also cleverly set up future storylines for its characters, and while it might be the final appearance of fan-favorite supervillains, the future looks bright for Tom Hollands’s Spider-Man and perhaps even his predecessors. Spider-Man: No Way Home’s extended cut has an opportunity to make all of these elements work even better.
