Recasting Buffy The Vampire Slayer In 2022
A reboot of the cult classic television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer has been in the works for several years now, but who should play the core characters in 2022? The 1997 series Buffy the Vampire Slayer was itself a reboot of the 1992 movie of the same name, so a modern-day adaptation of the pop culture sensation was inevitable. Although Joss Whedon created the show, Whedon won't be showrunner of the new Buffy; Monica Owusu-Breen will be running the show instead. However, it has not yet been announced who will be playing the new Slayer or who will be cast as the members of Buffy's beloved Scooby Gang. There's still a mystery of which actor or actresses they think would be perfect for bringing Buffy Summers world out of the '90s and into the modern-day world of 2022.
