Benedict Cumberbatch weighs in on his future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe following the success of Doctor Strange 2. After debuting in his character's 2016 solo film, Cumberbatch has gone on to become a pivotal figure in the larger MCU. He's appeared in six movies and had an especially important role in 2021's Spider-Man: No Way Home, which introduces the multiverse in earnest. That concept is explored more in Doctor Strange 2with the Illuminati's inclusion, as well as other versions of Strange teased in the animated series What If...?.
