Ncuti Gatwa Will Be The First Gay Doctor, Says Neil Patrick Harris
Neil Patrick Harris states that Ncuti Gatwa is set to be the first gay Doctor in the BBC series, Doctor Who. With Jodi Whittaker, the current incarnation of the Doctor, set to depart from the show by the end of 2022, it was recently announced that Sex Education star, Gatwa, had been cast as the new Doctor. Gatwa will mark the 14th actor to portray the Doctor since the show first started in 1963. The Doctor is an extraterrestrial time-traveling being who has the ability to regenerate into a new body when badly injured, allowing numerous actors to portray the character over the years.
