The Northman Early Reactions Praise Eggers' Film as Brutal & Spectacular
The first round of reactions to Robert Eggers’ The Northman are in, and they couldn’t be much better. The Northman is Eggers’ latest release, and his third outing as a director of a feature film following on from the success of The Witch and The Lighthouse. The film, which is a loose Viking-based adaptation of Hamlet, follows Alexander Skarsgård as Amleth, a man who he seeks to avenge the death of his father. The film is set for a US release date of April 22.
