How Sonic 3 Will Connect To Idris Elba's Knuckles Spinoff Show
Paramount CEO Brian Robbins has opened up about the connection between Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and the Knuckles spin-off TV show. Paramount Pictures' Sonic movie series is based on the popular Sega video game franchise of the same name. In the movies, Ben Schwartz voices the lead character, with Jim Carrey, Colleen O'Shaughnessey, and James Marsden appearing in key roles as Dr. Robotnik, Tails, and Tom. The first Sonic movie came out in 2020, becoming a massive success at the box office. A sequel was subsequently released in March 2022, which topped the revenue of the first movie, becoming the U.S.'s highest-grossing video game film. A third film is currently in development, in addition to a TV spinoff centered on Knuckles the Echidna, voiced by Idris Elba in Sonic the Hedgehog 2.
