Madame Web Set Photos Confirm Sony Movie's Intriguing Setting
New Madame Web set photos reveal Sony’s upcoming film will take place in New York City during the early 2000s. Peter Parker/Spider-Man has enjoyed huge success in the MCU thanks to Sony Pictures and Disney/Marvel Studios’ 2015 deal, with last year’s Spider-Man: No Way Home becoming Sony’s highest-grossing movie of all time. As the MCU continues to expand its multiverse, Sony has attempted to develop its Spider-Man Universe with Venom, Venom: Let There Be Carnage and Morbius, which have yet to feature Tom Holland’s web-slinger. Sony has also green-lit several other spinoffs based on Spider-Man characters, including Kraven the Hunter, El Muerto, and Madame Web.
