Indiana Jones Star Would Play Short Round Again If Asked
Ke Huy Quan, who played the young sidekick Short Round in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, says he’s open to playing the character again. The second installment in Steven Spielberg’s Indiana Jones franchise, Temple of Doom (1984) serves as a prequel to Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981). The film sees Harrison Ford reprise the role of archaeologist and adventurer Dr. Henry Walton Jones Jr./Indiana Jones as he travels from Old Shanghai to India in search of the magical Sankara stone, which has been stolen by a Thuggee cult. Aiding Indy in his mission is the street-savvy youngster Short Round (Quan) and nightclub singer Willie Scott (Kate Capshaw).
