Godzilla TV Show Adds WandaVision Director Matt Shakman
Apple TV+'s Godzilla series has found its director in Matt Shakman. Since Godzilla vs. Kong was a box office hit, becoming one of the first major successes following the COVID-19 pandemic, Legendary Pictures has been looking to expand the MonsterVerse franchise in a big way. A sequel to Godzilla vs. Kong is in development with director Adam Wingard returning, and a Skull Island animated series is in the works at Netflix. On top of that, it was announced in January that Apple TV+ is developing a live-action Godzilla series. Reports have suggested The Falcon and the Winter Soldier's Wyatt Russell is being considered to play the lead.
