After the tremendous success of 2007's Transformers and 2009's Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, together grossing over $1.5B, the question of what happened to Megan Fox's character Mikaela Banes in Transformers: Dark of the Moon remained. At the end of Transformers 2, Mikaela and Sam's (Shia LeBoeuf) relationship seemed strong.
