DC's New Superman Can Step Out of His Dad’s Shadow in Dark Crisis
While Jon Kent has successfully transitioned into being the new Superman, he has yet to outgrow the shadow cast by his father. But DC Comics' upcoming crossover Dark Crisis presents such an opportunity for the young lad. This is not meant to be a knock against Jon Kent or his run thus far as the new Superman, but with Clark Kent being the first to don the cape 84 years ago, the original is naturally going to cast a heavy shadow over whoever follows him. Jon doesn't have to be a better Superman than his old man, but he does still need a moment in his run that helps distinguish himself from the original.
