Netflix has officially released a new , previewing the highly anticipated upcoming season and inviting fans back into the games.
The latest trailer once again highlights the return of Seong Gi-hun, also known as Player 456 (played by Lee Jung-jae) to the Squid Game.
The trailer shows off more of the action that fans can expect in the second season, and some of the new games as well. Squid Game Season 2 will be released on December 26, 2024, on Netflix.

Hwang Dong-hyuk serves as the writer, director, and executive producer for the new season of the series. He said of Squid Game Season 2 when speaking to Tudum in 2022, “There’s definitely a lot of pressure on how to make [Season 2] even better.
