A new trailer for Reynatis has revealed that its crossover with NEO: The World Ends With You wasn't an April Fool's Day joke after all as Rindo and Shoka are actually featured in the game alongside some TWEWY enemies.
April Fool's is a bit of an infamous day in the gaming world, as companies tend to use it as a firing board for silly ideas and crossovers that fans are actually quite into, which just ends up hurting everyone when it turns out to be a prank.
As Yakuza: Like A Dragon proved, though, sometimes these jokes turn out to be hints at things that are actually coming in the future, something that's just come true again.
This April Fool's Day, Reynatis, an upcoming third-person action RPG set in Shibuya that has drawn a lot of comparisons to Kingdom Hearts, teased a crossover with NEO: The World Ends With You through some awesome images showing Rindo and Marin in one another's unique art style.
Since it was shared on April Fool's, it was taken as a fun little acknowledgement of the two games being set in Shibuya. As it turns out, though, it isn't a joke at all.
