Report: Rocksteady has made layoffs

pcgamesinsider.biz

London-based Rocksteady has reportedly laid off some of its staff. That's according to Eurogamer, which reports that it has spoken to around 12 workers that have been affected by these redundancies.

Programming, art and – shocker – quality assurance teams have reportedly been affected by these layoffs. This comes in the wake of a previous round of redundancies in September 2024, which again largely impacted Rocksteady's quality assurance team.

The studio's parent company, Warner Bros, is yet to comment or acknowledge the layoffs. Rocksteady had something of a challenging 2024; the company launched Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League of the year, which not only was met with critical apathy but appears to have not sold nearly well enough for Warner Bros.

The entertainment giant has written off $200m million on the game's performance. In December 2024, Rocksteady announced that it wasn't going to be continuing work on Suicide Squad.
