The continues to grow, with Deadline reporting that Fear the Walking Dead star Garret Dillahunt has joined the DCU show in a major recurring role.
According to Deadline’s report, Dillahunt will play the role of William Macon, a “modern cowboy” that is described as “a self-righteous, conspiracy-minded man who masks his ruthless ambition behind a charming and calculated facade.” Dillahunt is best known for his roles in the hit dramas Deadwood and Fear the Walking Dead.
He has also starred in a number of other high-profile projects, including No Country for Old Men, ER, The 4400, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, Winter’s Bone, Looper, and 12 Years a Slave.
The Lanterns cast will star Aaron Pierre as John Stewart alongside Kyle Chandler, who has been cast in the series as Hal Jordan in the upcoming series.
A separate report from THR notes that HBO looks to begin filming from January to June next year, so more information should come soon.
