In an interview with On Demand Entertainment, Harrison Ford was asked if he had spoken with Mark Ruffalo about playing a Hulk character in the MCU.
Ford responded, “he wasn’t available for a consultation,” adding, “I just had to wing it. I hope he’s not disappointed.” He also joked about facing Ruffalo in a battle to determine who is “hulkier.” Ford’s Red Hulk will be the second Hulk-like character in an MCU film, following Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner/Hulk.
Other Hulk-related characters, including She-Hulk, Skaar, and Abomination, have appeared in the franchise. However, Ford’s role marks the first major on-screen transformation into Red Hulk.
