Former Annapurna staff take over Private Division portfolio

pcgamesinsider.biz

A brand new company founded by former staff from publisher Annapurna Interactive will be handling Private Division's stable moving forward.

Bloomberg reports that this new venture, which is currently unnamed, is going to be taking over games previously handled by Take-Two's Private Division.

The Grand Theft Auto giant previously announced that it had sold Private Division to an unnamed buyer for an undisclosed price; it turns out that the outfit had been sold to private equity firm Haveli Investments.

Readers might remember them as being one of the companies that acquired RuneScape maker Jagex in 2024. There's no figure on the deal yet, either.

Haveli has also inherited roughly 20 members of staff from Private Division, though has made some layoffs. Haveli is funding this new venture and has put them in charge of both former Private Division titles, like Kerbal Space Program, as well as upcoming releases such as The Lord of the Rings farming sim Tales of the Shire and a game from Pokémon maker Game Freak.
