Fan's Literal The Sims Screenprint From 2004 Unearths The Mystery Of The Cursing Sim

One fan who's been playing since the first game has dug up a relic of the past in the form of a printed screenshot. The original game was released in 2000 and looked very different from the current interaction of the title.

Despite graphics that are outdated by today's standards, the game introduced some innovative gameplay mechanics that paved the way for to be the beloved game that it is today.

The franchise has always tried to keep things family-friendly enough for ages 12 and up, even turning the creation of new generations of Sims into fairly inexplicit «Woohooing.» One thing that has never had was actual cursing, although Sims can shout curses in Simlish.

This is why Symbiosistasista on Reddit was so surprised to see one of their Sims drop the F-bomb in-game, circa 2004.
