Sharon Stone has officially been cast in Euphoria Season 3. The third season of HBO’s Euphoria is now in production. It was reported earlier this month that Stone was in talks to play a role in the show’s next chapter; however, her casting wasn’t confirmed at the time.
Per Variety, Stone’s casting has now been confirmed, though it’s still unclear who she’ll be playing. “There is little more exciting than going to work with this team of thrilling talent,” Stone said. “From the genius of Sam Levinson to the raw sophistication of this profoundly moving cast and tight crew.
I am honored to be Euphoric.” Stone is perhaps best known for playing Catherine Tramell in Paul Verhoeven’s Basic Instinct, which was released in 1992, though she’s also widely recognized for starring in 1990’s Total Recall and 1995’s Casino.
She received an Academy Award nomination for her performance in Casino and won the Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series Emmy Award in 2004 for her role on The Practice.
In addition to Euphoria Season 3, Stone will also soon be seen starring alongside Bob Odenkirk in Nobody 2, which hits theaters this August, while she’s also been cast in a Rob Burnett comedy movie titled In Memoriam.
