Split Fiction Runs in Dynamic 4K and 60 FPS on Xbox Series X and PS5

Electronic Arts and Hazelight Studios have released new details on the upcoming co-op adventure Split Fiction, confirming that it’s Steam Deck Verified.

While the PC requirements were previously revealed, the developer has confirmed the resolution and frame rate for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.

All versions will run at 60 frames per second, with the PS5 and Xbox Series X delivering dynamic 4K. However, Xbox Series S players will have to deal with 1080p resolution.

As such, a dynamic resolution on the stronger consoles isn’t surprising, considering It Takes Two featured the same. Split Fiction launches on March 6th with cross-platform play.

Thanks to its Friends Pass, only one person needs to own a copy to play online with others (which is applicable across platforms).

Monster Hunter Wilds is out in the, well, wild today, and giant lizards everywhere are suffering the predations of hunters with absurdly large weaponry. Unfortunately, if any of those hunters are having experiences like I did while playing for our Wilds review, they might be running into an unfortunate number of game crashes. Luckily, I was able to identify the potential culprit: If you're getting a lot of Monster Hunter Wilds crashes on an Nvidia card, try disabling frame generation.

Modders are not missing a beat with Monster Hunter Wilds. At time of writing the game hasn't even unlocked yet for plebs like me who don't have pre-release access, and yet there are currently 33 mods on the Nexus Mods page and the number keeps going up.
