has already experienced massive success since Season 0, but Season 1 could raise the bar further. The Marvel-themed hero shooter has surpassed many expectations, combining excellent features, like free heroes, with its fun and chaotic gameplay. It hasn't been without some issues, like the argument about whether should have role lock, but this has not hampered the game much, if at all.
Though Season 1 will be the first look at how the developers plan to update the live service game, players already have a sense of how it will work due to leaks. Each season plans to add multiple new heroes, maps, and cosmetics. There is also the chance that new events or modes will appear, but these are unlikely to be as frequent as the aforementioned additions. Regardless, updates like Season 1, if sustainable, will be a massive upgrade over competition.
Currently, there is no set date for the start of Season 1, with previous comments pointing toward early January 2025. However, by looking at the time left in Season 0's Battle Pass, it would appear January 10 seems like the closest thing to a concrete answer. This would make sense for many reasons outside that it lines up with the Battle Pass end date.
To start, seasons in are set to last about three months. Since the game originally launched on December 6, and Season 0 is supposed to be half the length of a regular season, January 10 lines up well. The second reason is that leaks about a Lunar New Year event have popped up. In 2025, it is set for January 25, and since it is unlikely two events will be squeezed into one short season, it is likely Season 1 will be out by then.
There have been a plethora of characters leaked since the game launched, some with more evidence than others. Both The Thing and Human Torch were accidentally revealed in an official advertisement. The longer list of leaked characters includes all of The Fantastic Four, Blade, Ultron, Captain Marvel, Modok, Jean Gray, Emma Frost, and Deadpool.
