Author Stephen King has revealed the one movie he walked out of as an adult. King is the world famous author of such books as IT, Carrie, Pet Sematary, The Stand, The Dark Tower, and countless others, many of which have been turned into feature films and TV shows, sometimes more than once. King's most-recent feature adaptation was a new version of Firestarter starring Zac Efron and Ryan Kiera Armstrong (a 1984 version of his original story starred Drew Barrymore).
King is one of the most prolific authors in history, but has only tried his hand at directing once, which was for 1986's Maximum Overdrive starring Emilio Estevez. The film was a flop, earning just $7.4 million worldwide along with poor critical reviews. King has frequently appeared in feature and TV adaptations of his projects, usually in a cameo role similar to Stan Lee's appearance in Marvel projects. The author is as big a fan of film and TV entertainment, be it his own or otherwise, and frequently shares his take on what he's watching on social media.

King took to Twitter to address novelist Linwood Barclay's tweet, saying that he walked out of Jurassic World: Dominion. The author chimed in with his own walk-out confession, saying that the only movie he's walked out of as an adult was 2007's Transformers. The Michael Bay-directed adaptation of the popular Hasbro toy franchise was a massive hit in theaters, earning $709 million globally and giving birth to the live-action franchise that's become the 13th highest-grossing film series of all time. That said, it apparently did little to transform King into a fan. Here's what he had to say:
I have walked out of only one movie as an adult: TRANSFORMERS.
