Adam Scott Joins The Cast Of Dakota Johnson's Madame Web Movie

Sony's Madame Web movie has already stacked its cast with some big names, including Dakota Johnson, Sydney Sweeney, Isabela Merced, Celeste O'Connor, and Emma Roberts. Now, another star is joining the cast, fresh off of his own unique sci-fi story.

Deadline is reporting that Adam Scott, who was recently nominated for an Emmy for his lead role in the Apple TV+ series Severance, is jumping on board on the movie set in Sony's own Marvel universe, One that still remains separate (or mostly separate) from the theater-dominating MCU.

Deadline has also reported that some sources said the movie may become something else entirely since Madame Web never directly fought any villains.

Sony is putting a lot of work into building up its own parallel comic book universe, though it has not had the same level of success as Marvel Studios. Despite decent box office returns for Venom and Venom: Let There Be Carnage, neither movies were critical hits. The next Sony entry, Morbius, fared much worse, catching neither critical nor box office success. Though it became the source of endless memes online after its initial
