Intel's Razer Lake-S Desktop CPUs might be the follow-up to the next-gen Nova Lake-S chips which will succeed Arrow Lake-S.

Intel Nova Lake-S To Succeed Arrow Lake-S While Razer Lake-S Succeeds Nova Lake-S On Desktop CPU Platform

Intel's client / mainstream desktop CPU platform is soon going to see the launch of Arrow Lake-S, a brand new platform that replaces the standard "Core I" series and brings in new architecture and feature support. While Intel's Arrow Lake-S Dekstop CPUs will be launching next month, it looks like the rumor mill has already started discussing the next-generation successors.

Now while everyone is looking forward to Intel's Core Ultra 200 "Arrow Lake-S" Desktop CPUs, it looks like the platform will last quite a long time as its previously rumored refresh has apparently been canned. We recently reported this and it looks like the decision can go both ways, first, Core Ultra 200 CPUs will have a longer time on the market leading to better optimizations and support but it would also mean that if the competition plans a refresh or mid-cycle upgrade of Zen 5, then Intel might have nothing to follow up until Nova Lake-S.

Intel's Nova Lake-S Desktop CPUs will be the true successor to the Arrow Lake-S lineup and should be part of the "Core Ultra 400" series as the "Core Ultra 300" series will utilize the Panther Lake CPU design but those chips aren't expected to launch on mainstream desktop platforms. Nova Lake will be a huge upgrade to Arrow Lake CPUs with brand new CPU and GPU cores & it looks like we now have the codename for its successor too.

The follow-up to Intel's Nova Lake CPUs will be known as Razer Lake and according to the rumored information, the lineup will be headed to desktop PCs in the form of Razer Lake-S. It is currently not known if either Nova Lake or Razer Lake Desktop CPUs will remain compatible with LGA 1851 but we
