It seems that Fast and Furious star is going out of his way to establish that he and have finally squashed their beef. The two first locked horns in August 2016 when the Rock addressed one of his co-stars with certain offensive adjectives. It soon became evident that the wrestler-turned-actor was actually referring to Diesel, giving rise to their long-lasting feud. Nevertheless, their prolonged dispute seems to have reached its conclusion after Diesel took to social media to share an endearing photo with Johnson.
Vin Diesel posted an old image of himself alongside the Rock on Instagram, effectively conveying that no bad blood remains between the two. In the said post, Diesel can be seen showing a thumbs-up sign to the camera with his other arm wrapped around Johnson’s shoulder.
The Rock, meanwhile, sports a smiling face while also embracing his Fast and Furious colleague. Diesel added another layer of glitter to the friendly post by adding the caption, “All love…always.”
This development comes after Diesel humorously addressed Johnson during his appearance at the recently-concluded Golden Globes. The Chronicles of Riddick star occupied the stage to present the Cinematic and Box Office Achievement Award to 2024’s Wicked.
Before announcing the winner of the said category, Vin Diesel called out to Johnson in an amusing manner, saying, “Hey, Dwayne,” before the camera cut to the Moana star, who responded by smiling awkwardly.
While this odd interaction did little to clarify the duo’s complicated relationship, Diesel and Johnson seemed to have buried the hatchet when the latter made a surprise return to the Fast and Furious franchise with its tenth installment in 2023.
Johnson echoed this sentiment following the theatrical release of Fast X, stating on X (formerly Twitter), “Last summer Vin and I put all the past behind us. We’ll lead with brotherhood and resolve — and always take care of the franchise, characters & FANS that we love.”
