In Phase 5 of Season of Discovery, Paladin players can earn the sword Truthbearer through a long questline involving Uther the Lightbringer, a repentant death knight, and the powers of time travel!
The Story Up To Now
In previous phases of Season of Discovery, paladin players have quested alongside Aeonas, a former Paladin of the Silver Hand. Once known as Aeonas the Quiet, he was a philosophical paladin who theorized that the Light was not a force for innate good like most believed, but a force of nature wielded by any with sufficient willpower. After many fights over his unconventional ideals, Aeonas chose to leave the Order of the Silver Hand.
In time, Aeonas would be proven right not only by Crown Prince Arthas Menethil and his actions at Stratholme but also by the Scarlet Crusade and their fanatical zealotry in the name of the Light. After learning of his capture at the hands of the Scarlet Crusade, the paladin trainer Katherine the Pure sends us to rescue Aeonas from their clutches, desperate to help him understand the validity of his views.
Once the player rescues him, he returns to Stormwind as Aeonas the Vindicated. He is ready and willing to help Katherine and the Silver Hand in their ongoing fight against a mysterious demonic entity and their ominous scrying orbs. Our quest brings us across the world to Felwood in Kalimdor, where Aeonas reveals that he is working alongside a Death Knight of the Scourge named Gregory, who shares our desire to see the demons expelled from Azeroth.

Yes, the one he serves is anathema to us. However, the world is not black and
