Bandai Namco recently teased what could very well be Tekken 8 in the form of a teaser trailer shown after the Tekken 7 Grand Finals at EVO 2022. The fighting game tournament was held this weekend in Las Vegas, Nevada. The developer also announced that Tekken 7 will be getting a brand new Battle Update later this month on August 17.
The teaser trailer begins with a shot of Kazuya carrying Heihachi to the edge of a cliff before cutting to a close up of Mishima. The words "get ready” then briefly appear to the side, suggesting that an official announcement from Bandai Namco might just be on the horizon. There was however no explanation offered as to whether this will be for a new entry in the Tekken franchise or something completely different.
