The Huawei Watch Buds is essentially a full-blown smartwatch running on the company's Harmony OS platform. Based on the leaked video, it seems to be a smartwatch that simply has two earbuds placed inside. That sounds crazy, given that smartwatches are usually sleek and only contain the chipset as well as the battery. How does Huawei manage to pack in two TWS earbuds inside?
From the outside, the Watch Buds looks like any other conventional smartwatch that you can buy from the shelves today. However, the Watch Buds has a thicker than usual body to suggest something different.
The display rests on the lid and it opens from the bottom, revealing two tiny TWS earbuds. The earbuds are packaged cleverly inside to take up as little space as possible. The earbuds themselves appear to be simple ones that are supposed to be used mostly for calls and basic music listening. The watch acts as a case for the earbuds.
Huawei is yet to launch the product in China and it remains to be seen how much it will cost.
