A PlayStation fan imagined what the covers of modern PS4 and PS5 games would like if they were released on PS1. Sony’s first-party AAA games often get positive reviews and sell millions of copies. This includes new IPs like Ghost of Tsushima and the Horizon series, and the latest installments in blockbuster franchises like Uncharted, The Last of Us, Marvel’s Spider-Man, and God of War.
PlayStation has released a bunch of exclusives since the PS5 came out in November 2020. The console launched with marquee titles like Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Demon's Souls, with Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart and Returnal coming out the following summer. This year alone, Sony has already released Gran Turismo 7 and Horizon Forbidden West, and God of War Ragnarok is just around the corner. Now, one PlayStation fan has reimagined some of these modern games as PS1 titles.
Sony Releases New PS4 System Software Update
A Reddit user named M_S_1 shared several images that imagined the covers of PS4 and PS5 titles as PS1 games. A few images feature the official cover of that particular game, but others have different pieces of artwork. M_S_1 uploaded 16 images largely consisting of first-party games with a few popular third-party titles. The post begins by showing Nate and Sam fighting off pirates in Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, followed by Bloodborne, Death Stranding, and two covers for Ghost of Tsushima.
