Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord is still technically in early access, but that hasn’t stopped one enterprising modder from taking the game and converting it into what might be the best Game of Thrones video game ever made. Not a high bar considering most of them are forgettable mobile adaptations, but still something worth your attention if you’re a fan of Mount & Blade, Game of Thrones, or both.
Realm of Thrones is an ambitious total conversion mod that brings the Game of Thrones universe to Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord. The mod adds a brand new world map that spans from the Great Grass Sea all the way to the wilds north of the Wall. There are 18 new kingdoms, 17 new towns, and over 80 villages from one end of Westeros to the other (and even a little Essos, the eastern continent conquered by Daenerys Targaryen).

The mod goes far further than just adding a new map. Ream of Thrones also adds Game of Thrones-themed creatures, new basic, noble, and House troop types, and hundreds of NPCs taken from the novels penned by George R.R. Martin. There are also hundreds of new weapons and armors, such as the revealing suit worn by the Dothraki shown above.
As of update 3.4, the latest version of this still "early access" mod, the Night King makes his appearance to terrify the denizens of Westeros. He leads an army of wights roaming north of the Wall, none of which seem to be the sort you’d invite to a party.
You can download Realm of Thrones on ModDB or Nexus Mods. Mod creator carolinawarrior also has a Discord channel for you to provide feedback and a Patreon for you to provide financial incentives for work on Realm of Thrones to continue.
