A new trailer for the upcoming Final Fantasy 16 has officially been revealed during Sony's latest PlayStation State of Play event, offering fans a fresh look at the more action-oriented take on the Final Fantasy franchise. The game was one of many announcements from the livestream, with Sony previously confirming the show would mostly focus on third-party developers and PSVR2.
Final Fantasy fans have had lots of content to delve into over the last few years, with even more planned for the future. Following on from the release of the critically-acclaimed FF7 Remake, players have also been enjoying everything Final Fantasy 14 has to offer. This is alongside a number of other new or upcoming titles, including Chocobo GP, FF7: Ever Crisis, and Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy. Despite the slew of releases fans have to look forward to, many eyes have been on FF16, with players eagerly awaiting news on the previously-announced title. While news on the release was expected last year, Final Fantasy 16 producer Naoki Yoshida revealed details would be coming in 2022 due to various production complications, partly related to the global pandemic.
