James Gunn Confirms New GOTG Holiday Special Awesome Mix Soundtrack
Writer/director James Gunn confirms that the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special coming to Disney+ will feature an all-new Awesome Mix soundtrack. In 2014, Gunn carved out his own special corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the first Guardians of the Galaxy film, which introduced audiences to the titular family of intergalactic misfits that includes Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Gamora (Zoe Saldaña), Drax (Dave Bautista), Groot (Vin Diesel), and Rocket (Bradley Cooper). Following the film's success, Gunn returned for the sequel in 2017, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, which shook up the roster with Mantis (Pom Klementieff) and Baby Groot.
