New images from Star Trek: Picard season 2 show more of Jean-Luc Picard and Q’s upcoming reunion. The first season of Star Trek: Picardsaw the long awaited return of Jean-Luc Picard, formerly Captain of the USS Enterprise and now a retired Admiral. Picard, who is played by British actor Patrick Stewart, was the lead of the now iconic sci-fi series Star Trek: The Next Generation. The series followed on from the original series of Star Trek as a response to the popularity it gained while in broadcast syndication. The Next Generation’s success then went on to generate more Star Treksequel (and prequel) series, and since TNG's first episode aired in 1987, Star Trekhas had an almost permanent presence on TV.
