James Gunn Addresses Possibility Of Making An R-rated Scooby-Doo 3
James Gunn reveals he is on board for an R-rated version of Scooby-Doo. The beloved live-action remake of the iconic mystery gang and their furry sidekick just celebrated its 20-year anniversary last month with a behind-the-scenes picture James Gunn posted to Instagram. Gunn co-wrote the script for Scooby-Doo, which kick-started his now very successful career. He later penned the script for Scooby-Doo: Monsters Unleashed, which was less of a hit at the box office than the first film, leading the franchise to end there rather than the original three the studio had in mind. The iconic 2002 rendition of the Hanna-Barbera series saw the Mystery squad reuniting after a years-long hiatus due to tensions in the group in order to investigate a spirit inhabiting guests at a horror-themed resort.
