Lost Star Matthew Fox Explains Why He Stopped Acting
Lost star Matthew Fox revealed why he quit acting for over half a decade. Although the actor's career began in 1992 with roles in TV series including Wings and Freshman Dorm, he first rose to prominence in the role of Charlie Salinger on the family drama Party of Five, on which he starred for all 6 seasons from 1994 through 2000. Not long afterward, he found himself with another starring role, playing Dr. Jack Shephard, one of the lead characters of the sci-fi mystery box series Lost, which ran from 2004 through 2010. His co-stars included Josh Holloway, Terry O'Quinn, Jorge Garcia, Daniel Dae Kim, Yunjin Kim, and Evangeline Lilly, who went on to play The Wasp in the MCU's Ant-Manmovies.
