Andy Kaufman Documentary In The Works From Uncut Gems Directors
A documentary feature film about the late comedian Andy Kaufmanhas just begun production. Kaufman was a beloved comedian and performance artist back in the '70s and '80s. He first received a major spotlight when he was invited to be a part of the first season of Saturday Night Live. On that show, he would develop a character that would go on to evolve into the character of Latka Gravas, Kaufman’s most famous role from the sitcom, Taxi. Unfortunately, Kaufman passed away in 1984 after a battle with lung cancer at the age of 35.
