Michael Bay is no stranger to action thrillers, being the director who made the Transformers film franchise a worldwide phenomenon, but Ambulance may be one of his most high-intensity films yet. Out in theaters today, the script was written by Chris Fedak (Prodigal Son) and adapted from a Danish film by the same name. Ambulance centers on a pair of adopted brothers, Will Sharp (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, HBO's Watchmen) and Danny (Jake Gyllenhaal), who attempt a bank heist in order to bankroll surgery for Will's wife. To say it does not go smoothly would be an understatement.
