Free-to-play card title Marvel Snap has been taken offline in the United States, seemingly as a side effect of TikTok being temporarily pulled in the region.
In a post on Twitter, developer Second Dinner wrote that the game was "temporarily unavailable" in the country. The studio is owned by ByteDance, which is also the company behind TikTok.
The video-centric social media platform was taken offline on January 19th as a ban came into effect, but the service was restored shortly after.
Bizarrely, Marvel Snap is still not available, but in a post on the game's official Twitter account, the firm said that it was actively trying to bring it back. “We’re actively working on getting our service back up in the U.S.
and expect everything to be fully restored within the next 12 hours," the post read. "Thanks for your patience and understanding as we work through this – we appreciate your support as always.
