Gamers have noticed that the implementation of profile avatars in the Epic Games Store was once listed as a priority despite the feature still not being a reality.
Epic Games is a hugely popular company that is recognized as an industry leader in several areas. Epic has developed Unreal Engine, Fortnite, and continues to deliver many of its services through its own PC marketplace, but sometimes the Epic Games Store lacks features users enjoy on other platforms.
To be fair, there have been plenty of additions to Epic Games that keep players coming back. The introduction of many EA games to the Epic Games Store has users excited to continue playing great games, and this signals the continuous expansion of Epic Games' ecosystem.
Although gamers weren't initially certain Epic would last when compared to Steam, the current status of the platform makes plenty confident that it isn't going anywhere, which is exactly why it is a little confusing when popular features like profile avatars don't show up.
A Reddit post by user VanceVibes shows that the profile avatar feature has been noted on Epic's Trello project listing board since February 2022, but has not been added.
